ANYTHING BY MATT SHAW IS EXCELLENT
I love the characters in this story!
Even though I knew that something HUGE was going to happen before it ended - I couldn't help getting lost in the story.
There are a lot of points I'd like to touch on, but not on (just seems weird), so full review will be posted on BBB.
As for the 'something huge' moment... I expected one of three other possible story endings - each one pretty bad in it's own way, but I never saw what Matt had coming for us this time!

I've read plenty of pretty explicit scenes throughout the Shaw Library, but it's different when they're surrounded by graphic violence, or prehistoric creatures. I'm just saying that GLORY HOLE might have prepared me to finally open the Red Cover book I've had for a looong time.
This is the story of Karen. Her husband cheated on her because she wasn't adventurous in the bedroom. Enter Emma, her friend, who is going to take her to a fetish club where she can get over her husband and a past incident that's holding her back.
Not your typical Matt Shaw. I'll admit that halfway through I checked to see that this was, in fact, a horror story. The horror is very minimal.....until the end, which will hit you in the face like a frying pan. Holy hell, that ending really got me. I expected something really evil (It's Matt Shaw), but this was unexpected and on a whole different level. It took everything leading up to that point that wasn't 'horrifying' and changed everything. Damn. This short definitely fits in with the rest of his white series, which I highly recommend.
Karen finds out that her husband has been cheating on her now for the last couple years, and now he's realized he's fallen in love with the other woman and has left Karen. As the story goes along we find out many things through Karen telling her friend Emma much of what's gone on, and very much what hasn't gone on in the bedroom. Karen is very unadventurous and he simply got bored without certain needs fulfilled.
As things progress Karen finds out her friend Emma and her boyfriend enjoy going to a sex fetish club and they finally convince her to go along one night to get out and have some adult fun.
I absolutely loved this story and as ever Matt Shaw does a great job writing out the characters and the journey involved. The twist at the end is phenomenal and I never ever saw it coming. It left me with a huge smile. I very highly recommend this to all hardcore horror fans and those that love a good shock. A pure and true 5 stars.
It seems a bit redundant to say "not for those easily offended" when talking about a Matt Shaw book, if someone isn't offended, it's definitely not by Matt Shaw but a faker attempting to pass themselves off as him. Probably one of the main reasons I own almost everything he's ever written! I Love the horror, violence, and Gore of the usual Matt Shaw book! This book of course is very explicit in nature, so be warned if you don't care to read something like that. That said, on to my review.
Meet Karen, our main character. She is on the verge of divorce after finding out that her husband of Five years has been cheating on her for Three of them. He biggest complaint and reason is because Karen isn't adventurous, not saying she's a prude, but she walks a thin line between being one and being open-minded, not that it's any sort of an excuse for cheating, because it's not. So with her marriage falling apart, Karen temporarily moves in with her best friend Emma.
While staying with Emma,, Karen decides to help out a bit and starts by tidying up around the place. When Karen starts to put away some of Emma's clothing her boyfriend brought back over to Emma's, Karen accidentally discovers Emma's sexy outfits, and not the normal type of silky nighties either, more in the nature of full on latex. After talking to Emma about it, she learns about sex clubs. On a lark, Karen agrees to go with Emma and her boyfriend Sam to the local sex club. It's an evening Karen will never forget, and things will never be the same again.
Not what I'm used to reading from Matt Shaw, but it sure was pretty darn entertaining, even humorous at times. While some might find the ending shocking (Matt Shaw remember...) I loved it, I laughed so loud at one point my husband asked what was so funny, I told him to read for himself and handed him my . While this eBook isn't something I could recommend to "all" of my friends, the ones with an open mind would surely love it, even the ones who cry "Gross" or something similar.
Excellent character development for the main and secondary characters, a well thought out storyline and a very descriptive environment, I could actually picture the club in my mind. It even had me wondering if Matt Shaw has ever been to one. LOL!
